Remaining at home may take a little bit of help and support, at Southern Highlands Home Care we offer a range of services to help with that. From Government funded packages to private plans and DVA, we offer services that suit everyone's needs.

There are many ways we can help you at home, from daily care to fortnightly cleaning. Southern Highlands Home care listens to you and your loved ones and work together to tailor a package to offer you the best support so that you can continue to live safely in your own home.

Services we Offer

Personal Care

Providing assistance with daily self-care tasks in order to maintain dignity and uphold clients hygiene and grooming standards.

Domestic Assistance

In home assistance, with everyday tasks. We provide help with cleaning, clothes or dish washing, ironing, grocery shopping and help with paying bills.


Meal preparation and the delivery of cooked and/or frozen meals is available to our packaged clients. This service, encourages clients to maintain and good level of nutrition and remove the worry of needing to prepare and cook lunch and/or dinner each day. We work alongside experienced cooks who cook nutritionally approved meals, following strict HACCP standards.


Offering the opportunity for carers and their families to take a well earned and needed break from their caring responsibilities. Respite care is responsive and flexible, by providing an uplifting and positive change for the person receiving care. This service can be provided in the home, at another location agreed upon by the family or at a centre based respite facility.

Social Support

We provide a leisure focused service to meet our client's need for companionship and social interactions, that provide the opportunity for them to access community services or other facilities and facilitate their participation in community life. Going for a coffee, walking through the shops, feeding the ducks or browsing an antique dealer are all leisures we take for granted. Southern Highlands Home Care recognises the significance and benefits this has on the lives of our clients.

Centre Based

This service encompasses Centre-based care, day programs such as Adult Day Care or Men's Shed. It provides the client with the opportunity to access and participate in their community. This also encourages clients to develop and expand on their social experiences and interests. This service works alongside Respite, as the client's family or carer also benefit from the client accessing this fantastic service.


We provide the ability for our clients to attend doctor or specialist appointments, go grocery shopping or access community services through utilising our carers to safely escort our clients. This gives family piece of mind that a trained professional is with their loved one during outings.


Southern Highlands Home Care employ Registered Nurses and certified carers. This enables us to offer medical assistance in the home as well. We can facilitate in the administration of medication, dressing of wounds, continence management and other complex care areas.

Care Planning & Case Management

Southern Highlands Home Care work closely with the client, their carer and family as well as their doctor and allied health services. Through assessments, planning, facilitation and advocacy options we can effectively create a personalised care plan and specific goals to meet our clients individual needs.

Package Options

Private Services


All clients can access our services as a privately funded client. Clients who usually access this are not eligible or are awaiting approval for Government funded services. 

Department of Veteran Affairs - DVA Home Care

Southern Highlands Home Care offers our services to DVA clients. DVA Home Care is a care program designed to enable eligible veterans, war widows and widowers to remain in their own home as long as they are able to with a little support. A little support refers to low-level support services provided on a short-term or ongoing basis, or increased intensity on a short-term or episodic basis. Services designed to maintain your health, well being and independence.

Government Funded Packages

A Home Care Package is a subsidy provided by the Australian Government to assist an older person to remain at home with support. Clients are assessed by an ACAS (Aged Care Assessment Service) on their needs and are approved for  a package in one of four levels. Southern Highlands Home Care offers services to levels 2,3 and 4.

Packages are flexible, allowing you to choose the services you require most. Some clients use both funded packages and private services if their level of care is greater then funded. Click here to find out more about Packages.
